Om Shanti Yoga

Had a pretty amazing moment today in one of the classes I push into.

This young man graduated last year, and now he's helping facilitate some groups we do while working his way through college classes and life after high school.
🤍
During class today, he impromptu thanked me for being there for him and for what I do and the skills I taught him, and then he came over and gave me a hug.
🤍
Naturally, I cried.
🤍
There's been a lot going on lately, and THIS moment was a huge reminder of my why. Really, I should be thanking him because I teach what I teach because of my own kids and for all the kids out there.

I love what I do

I'm the woman who will forever pull over for pretty sky colors, herds of majestic animals, and to just sit at a body of water to take it all in.
🤍
I'm also the woman who gets to watch my children run outside barefoot, climbing a concrete beam, to take pictures of beautiful sky colors because they needed a higher view of it and it makes me smile so dang big just to see them do that. They are also really used to me just pulling off for random side adventures.

I'll forever be the woman and mom who will never stop doing these things. Ever.

I hope that you will always choose to be your authentic self. Your people will find you.

Mt. Blanca has my whole heart

I was working on time management with the 9th graders today, and one of my students asked me about my yoga practice. I told him that I do yoga at least once a day, and I make time to come to my mat every night after the kids go to bed.

It's my favorite time to just reflect on the day and let go of what I can no longer control. Today is almost over, and tomorrow is a fresh day.

It's also the time I thank my body for successfully getting me through another day. This is the time I take to breathe, move, and pause.

This time is for me, so I can be better for everyone.

This year, I will begin offering online workshops for how to cultivate mindfulness and gratitude into your lives and I will also be offering Yoga sessions for groups, schools, and on a one on one basis!

Summer is loading with some awesome paddleboard groups and I will continue to offer rentals and adventure days to the San Luis Valley!

Year 9 since you gained your wings, and I'm pretty positive that the whole "time heals" is complete bull s**t.
This year is so dang hard and doesn't look like it's going to be smooth waters anytime soon. I miss you more than I could have ever imagined, and I feel so lost without you some days (all the days).

She's a happy little lady with blue eyes, two dimples, a tooth already, and is just VERY attached to her momma. She sounds like a baby Chewbacca when she cries really hard and we just adore our sweet girl.

Taught the boys how to torpedo down to the bottom of the 10ft

We then did this for another 45mins and had such a blast just being torpedoes and floating around.

Someone once told me that Christmas lights were tacky

Well... I love my tacky Christmas lights all up over the house.

The house was napping, so I put my body in different shapes while lifting things and setting them back down
