Huge congratulations to Ivan for earning the 1st stripe on his white belt this morning in our 6am class!!!!

Ivan is turning 13 yrs old next week and is currently the youngest participant in our adult class! He also gets extra mat time training in our kids program as well. This young man has SO much heart, and that’s not really something that can be taught! He is a shining example of the hard work, focus and dedication we emphasize here, at SOJA!

Keep up the great work lil brother, and remember…. all promotions at Square One are not given, they are EARNED!!!

We would like to publicly recognize Mr. Richard Garbi for being such an asset to our programs here at SOJA!!!

Richard is truly the epitome of the word “dedicated”. It shows in his every walk of life, both on and off the mats! This working Husband and Father of 3 can be found on the mats primarily at our 6am adult class and sometimes even will hit up a 7pm class to take advantage of two-a-day training. BUT THATS NOT ALL…. Richard also volunteers his time to help coach in our evening kids classes. Recently, he and his wife ( ) made the decision to get all 3 of their children involved in Jiu Jitsu w/ Square One, understanding that there is a long term growth and development process that can benefit our youth in the community!

We appreciate you so much brother, thank you for your patronage and hard work week after week, and remember….. “The family that trains together, stays together!”
