This post is a little overdue, however I wanted to make sure we had all the champions from our Cardinal Parent/Child event at the end of June. Tom’s of fun was had by all, and to be honest not sure which part was the most fun…the golf or the ice cream after golf. Either way thank to all the juniors and parents/grandparents who participated. Just another great family day at the Cardinal. Come join the fun next year!!!

Our Cardinal Member/Member went off without a hitch last weekend. Great competition, wonderful food, and even better weather. Seven teams entered the shootout, 1 team survived. Congratulations to Jimmy Orr and Trip Hurd for their great play and claiming the title for Member/Member champions. Thank you to everyone who played and supported this awesome event. We had a great day at The Cardinal for our Memorial Day tournament! Low scores, and squeaked by with the weather! Congratulations to the teams of Jeff Burcham-Jeff Guernier-Todd Topolka-Amber Marsh-Elliott for winning the Gross Division at -13, and to Jimmy Clarke-Justin Goforth-Craig Fletcher for winning the Net Division at -19. We had Couples Golf today . It was a beautiful day! The Truxton’s took home the win with a 63 (-8) and a 2 shot victory over the Orr’s and O’Hanlan’s.

In our annual Cardinal Cup, the Black Team won 8.5 - 7.5. There were a lot of close matches, with one putt here or there that could’ve been the difference in the whole tournament. Thanks guys for supporting this match play event. Next year we will have Andrew Carter captain the Black Team, and Chad Randall will captain the Red Team. We will be assistant captains and help with pairings. Our goal is to get to 48 people total for the tournament. Congrats to the Black Team.
