Streakers were out in full force over the 4th of July weekend! Congrats to Rick O'Reilly on his age group win at the Freedom Run 5K and to Beth Kaplan and Kim Crouse on their 2nd and 3rd place age group finishes at the Kernersville July 4th 5K!

Streakers! The weather looks iffy tonight. We of course run in the rain but not lightning. I will send another update by 5:15pm if there are any more changes...

For now, since it looks like these storms will pop up at any time, I want to stay closer to the store in case we need to take cover inside at any moment. So, instead of 1/2 mile hills in the park, we will just do 1/2 miles around the Joan/Trull loop instead. Check your email for more deets and your individual target times.

Our Story

The Streakers program, founded by Coach Jen in 2011, is great for the beginner or experienced runner alike seeking an individualized training experience in a group setting. The program has served nearly 600 runners since inception and has produced numerous Boston Marathon qualifiers and thousands of PRs. All distances from 5K through ultra marathon are welcome. Participants receive a personalized training plan but also meet on Mondays and Thursdays and Saturdays to run together. Regardless of experience level, Streakers love the camaraderie of new friends and running buddies, and whatever their individual goals, they have become a family (no worries, a fully-clothed one!). Participants also receive an initial consultation with Coach Jen, sub-group (Will Ferrell themed!) pace assignments, guest speakers, a targeted group race (although participants may target any race of their choice), social gatherings, a Streaker-specific tech shirt, a 15% store discount, and much more!

Our 21st SESSION of STREAKERS will begin on January 7th and run through March 30th, 2019! We’ll target the Myrtle Beach Marathon & Half Marathon events on March 2nd, but as always, individuals may choose any race(s) of their choice. Other popular spring races include Wrightsville (3/9), To***co Road (3/17), Shamrock (3/17), and Emerald Isle (3/30).

If you’re a first-time half marathon runner interested in going the distance with others just like yourself on the same daily training plan, this program is for you!
