Hi there! A few things!

-I will set dates and make a signup available for lessons in mid-March
-This summer I am excited to offer GROUP lessons with an assistant instructor. These will be offered at slightly less than half my private lesson rate of $25/half hour! They will take place over one consecutive five day intensive week ($60/5 lessons). They will be capped at 5 swimmers.
-I will continue with private lessons
-The group lessons will include four categories, but dependent on interest in each: True Beginner, Beginner Swimmer, Advanced Freestyle and Treading, and Breaststroke/Butterfly
-To participate in the lowest level, "True Beginner", a child MUST be able to put their face in to their mouth/nose and lay their head back with their ears in. (Some hesitancy is ok- big fear is not-private lessons is recommended). You can work on this in the bathtub!

My sixth year of swim lessons and I get this alert today! Bittersweet because I am starting to turn people away...but THANK YOU because your referrals and business have brought me to this point! Stay tuned as I may add a week of evening group sessions in the later summer with my 16 year old in assistance. The pool is clear and in a week it'll be warm! :) Thank you all again!!

This year I am using an automated system for signups. I have shared the link to my wait list and am now making it live to all. It will increase flexibility with lessons this year. Most notably, there is now the potential for a "bring a friend" option. You book the 30 minute spot ($25 for each 30 minute spot you book). You pay for the 30 minute spot. If you have a buddy or twin or similarly abled sibling, you can share the entire 30 minutes and split the cost. If you have a 3 year old you would like to introduce to water and a 5 year old, you can use 20 minutes for the 5 year old and do a quick 10 minute lesson with the 3 year old. It's your time to use as you like. Hopefully this makes sense! :)
Additionally, you do not have to book an entire week this year. Book any sessions that work for you.
Please text me if you sign up so I know you are a legitimate signup and I can expect to see you. Please "on your honor" do not book extra time "just in case"...this helps everyone with planning. Since I book fairly early, it does fill up quickly. If you need to cancel, please delete your signup so someone else can take it. Thank you for your support and patronage!

I am having a wonderful summer of swim lessons. I have been working all levels from 2 year olds to adult learners. I am all full for the summer! I truly enjoy the privilege of teaching and empowering people to be confident and have fun in the water. Thank you!

I am excited to be firing back up for the summer! Im starting a little sooner with school out and my first week of lessons has just one spot available. It is for one child 10:30-11 June 1-5. Please message me or text if you would like to book that spot. Supposed to be in the 80s next week! 😀

Happy New Years Eve! There will be some changes coming soon to my swimming lessons. First, I will be rebranding my school and changing my name to Cheyenne Sharks and Minnows. I am also in the process of developing a website where I can schedule swim lessons more efficiently! I will soon start the process for summer booking. I am going to be changing rates this summer. Currently my rate is $100 for five 30 minute lessons. I wanted to ask my clients and potential clients which solution to rate change they would prefer, so I am following this post up with a poll to get your feedback! We got a great new toy this week to help encourage swimmers to stay under water longer! The last picture is my dog helping me recharge after a long week of working hard in the pool 🙂 Thanks for all of your business!!

By now students and observers of my classes should know my number one rule in the pool: Stay calm! I emphasize being very relaxed and “doing what works”. This is because even adults have been known to find themselves in trouble in water they can stand in because of our strong, very human, panic instinct. Helping my students feel comfortable and relaxed is my number one priority.

Just a friendly tip and reminder for students and followers for the week 🙂 encourage your kids (and be intentional yourself) to always remain calm around water.

Happy May! I have begun working through my contacts and waitlist from the year. I’m giving my first contacts first choice of dates and times. I give them a day to respond and if I don’t hear back I move to my next name. So if you have texted or messaged me, you should be hearing from me this week! Hello friends and followers! It’s time to start my monthly/bi-monthly refresher sessions! These sessions are $10/child. They run 30 minutes and will be in groups of no more than 4 kids of similar ability. I will be doing them 1-2 Sunday’s a month over the winter. The date for the first one is tentatively Sunday December 2. Please message me if you are interested so I can start making time slots. I will message you times and place. Still running swim lessons but limited spots available! We are going definitely until the end of August and then we’ll keep an eye on the weather for potential daytime sessions in September. Thank you so much for all of your support and referrals this summer...I’ve loved working with all of you!

2018 has been a good time for gaining water confidence! As well as the fun stuff like diving, sliding, and jumping :)
