Today we had our first prize giving for our Tuesday Infants Class where they were all awarded a certificate and medal for their hard work, dedication, skill, attendance, attitude, etc! Well done to all our infants 🥊♥️

We had 3 juniors compete on two shows today.

Jamie McDonagh pictured with his opponent after his skills bout on the Rainham ABC show @ Peacock Gym, Canning Town. Also on the show was Miguel Gonzalez, although he lost via unanimous decision it was a close. ‘Big Meeks’ gave his opponent a standing 8 count in the 1st and 3rd rounds.

On the Billericay & Wickford ABC show @ The Main Event Gym, Rayne Ross lost via unanimous decision.

And the new London Elite Champion @ U71kgs, Bilal Berkoun. 🏆

Bilal won via a 4-1 split decision last night against Matheo Manley (Repton ABC). Both boxers were well supported at the finals held at the Royal National Hotel, Russell Square.

Berkoun was making his debut for IBC (previously boxed for All Stars ABC) now moves onto the National Stages of the NAC’s. The Pre 1/4 Finals take place @ Spiceball Leisure Centre, Banbury. We also have Sunni Torgman (U63kgs, Female Elite) also in the championships.

Mimi Motlagh (51.5kgs, Senior) made her debut tonight on the Haringey ABC dinner show at The Decorum, Wood Green.

The 18 year old came up against a stronger opponent who beat our girl to the punch, she lost via RSC3 but will take a lot away from the contest for her next bout.

If you don’t win, you learn. Unlucky Mimi 🔴⚪️🥊

Tonight, we had 4 boxers compete on the White Hart Lane BA open show held at their gym.

First up was 10 year old, Miguel Madeira who had his first skills contest.

Next up was Bella Cunningham who competed in her 5th skills contest.

Billy Cassidy won via unanimous decision, it was his first win and to top it off he was later voted ‘Best Boxer of the Night’. 🏆

Zaki Sultan also won for the first time, his opponent was DQ after 3 warnings.

On the Windrush Valley ABC open show held at Carterton Social Club, Jacob Goodridge won via unanimous decision. A good win away from home for Goodridge who conceded age and experience.

Another bout in the bag for young Jacob who has won his first 3 bouts so far. ⭐️

Miles Ojofetimi has been keeping busy!

On Friday night on the Evolve BA Dinner Show @ Crowne Plaza Marlow, he lost via unanimous decision.

Today on the Guilford City ABC open show held @ Woking Football Club, Miles won via a split decision to put the disappointment of his previous bout behind.

Well done Miles 💥

Miles is apart of the 11 boxers IBC have entered for the Schools Championships which the weigh in for London clubs is this Thursday evening 🔴⚪️🥊

And the new National Junior Champion @ U63kgs, Dylan Gibson!!! 🔴⚪️🥊

Dylan reached the final of the same championships last season but was defeated. However he went one better this year, he competed twice over the weekend in the National Semi Finals and Finals of the England Boxing Junior Championships held at the Robin Park Leisure Centre, Wigan.

He won via unanimous decision yesterday in the semi finals against Harry Overton (March).

Gibson won via a 4-0 split decision against Sonny Hollingsworth (Billingham).

Dylan is now a 3x National Champion having won the National Schools in 2022, NABGC’s in 2024 (this season) and now National Junior Champion.

This excludes all the other accolades he has achieved he has won in various other tournaments.

Well done Dylan, we’re super proud of you, both you and your Dad (Paul Gibson) are dedicated to the sport of amateur boxing.

We had another boxer compete at the latter stages of the championships. Yelida Litombe (U75kg, Junior Cadet) lost via unanimous decision in the Semi Finals yesterday against Ivor Lee (Manor) in his first contest as a Junior boxer.

We had two boxers compete in Championships today.

In the National 1/4 Finals of the Junior Championships (Southern Counties vs London) held @ Stour Leisure Centre, Ashford. Dylan Gibson (U63kgs) won via unanimous decision against Alfie Holman (Heart of Portsmouth ABC). Gibson joins team mate Yelida Litombe (U75kg, Cadet) in the National Semi Finals / Final round of the Championships next weekend in Wigan.

In the London Elite Championship 1/4 Finals held @ Downside Fisher Youth Club, Louix Goodman (U63.5kgs) lost via a 3-2 split decision against Bobby Mullally (Yeading ABC).

A mixture of results on the night but the club shows are for leaning and experience.

Congratulations to Jaye Kanadia, Henry ‘Saka’ Boateng, Dayle McIntosh and Jarvis Ojofeitimi on passing the England Boxing Level 2 coaches course.

They have all been put through their paces for the past two weekends in Harrow with tutor, Paul Strutt and then assessor, Mike Hunter yesterday.
