Oh fall… you beautiful thing.
Gotta love the surprise brookie. Cherry on top of a great day with Luke, Jake and Rick. The fishing is great right now, don’t miss out!
Summer. Dry flies, and cutthroats. Sounds about fine to me.
Crazy colors on this rainbow. Damn nature is cool. Great day on the water with Steve and Gretchen. Good times with even better people.
Good times with the homie .c.hilbert crushing some new stillwater. If you are ever curious as to what your backing looks like, go fish a lake. say it often and I’ll say it again, I love stillwater flyfishing!
It’s always nice to run into a good brookie. Some great R&D on some new water with the crew.
The higher water on the front range has opened up some opportunities to throw larger bugs. Trout are opportunistic feeders and will take advantage of these other food sources in the system. This beauty couldn’t resist an orange size 16 Get out there tall… it’s good.
A stellar trip to Disneyland with the homie started out with some fabulous cutbows. The continues to dominate every piece of water it’s fished. Midges will produce results year round and anglers should always consider them in their fly selection.
With the flows coming up, be sure to start augmenting some larger patterns into the mix. .c.hilbert Philly Cheese Crane is a perfect option right now. Scuds, worms, and stoneflies are also good options.
I love guiding with my homies. Fun times with .c.hilbert guiding a great group of folks. Such a beautiful day out on the water with Becca and
Life is better on the water!
Fact- big fish like small flies. Size 20 for the win. Stellar day awhile ago with the homie
There’s nothing quite like thinking about a fly pattern in your sleep, waking up and tying it, going to the river and fishing it, and seeing that the fish approve of it. Pretty fun and halfway insane process. Just how I like it.
Winter fly fishing isn’t all about size 24 midges. If there are other food sources present, be sure to imitate them. This guy couldn’t resist a size 16 📸 .c.hilbert
By any means necessary. There simply are no bad days on the water. A super fun day with my good friend 📸
